Environmental Assessments (ESIA, EIA, IEE, ESA)

EHS Services has been appointed by TCI to conduct Environmental Assessment of proposed “Construction of a New Breakwater with a length about 1.77 km and associated Navigation Facilities” at Gwadar Port, Balochistan

Pakistan Navy and Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) have planned to construct a new naval base at the headland location on the east side of the existing port area. Taking due cognizance of the impact of SW monsoon, and to provide shelter for the proposed naval base terminal, the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) plans to build a breakwater in the east side of the port by using the Chinese government loan. The project responds to the emerging need to develop sustainable port facilities to cater to the need of new development opportunities by virtue of development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the Gwadar Free Zone. The project need has aroused since the existing facilities of the naval base are simply inadequate to meet the needs of maritime security in new situation.
